Just an old photo to add to the discussion that was going on over on the atis mailing list. This is my Uncles DC3 Case that they bought in 1949. I guess thats what you call the "chicken roost" steering arm. They later bought the parts to convert to the wide front. I still have the parts they took off (chicken roost and front casting) but unfortunately most of the rest of the tractor is long gone.
No doubt that long wheelbase tricycle rode a little smoother than the shorter wide front version.

This is the same style as the 1937 CC 3 that I have buried in my garage for a few years, Ralph.  When I get a round tuit, I will dig it out and get some pictures.

That "flame", just a reflection off the plastic covering the photo. I didn't want to remove the photo from the album so just scanned it as is. Must have got reflected off the scanner light.
Charlie, looking forward to seeing a CC3. I"ve got a few others to get around to posting too.
