Title: Cockshutt 40s
Post by: RG8800 on December 15, 2011, 08:55:23 PM
More messing about with old tractors here on the farm back in 1990. I had bought the old full fender 40 with a froze and cracked Perkins 4 cylinder diesel. I found a good Buda diesel from a Co-op 50 at the local wrecker and did the transplant. This video was the first attempt at starting. It started but really rattled. Seemed to be timing gear noise. Thats about as far as I went with it. Still parked in the back of the shed.

Good video as usual, Ralph.  Maybe one day you will get around to firing the old girl up again so you can put a stethoscope on it and really check it out.
