Title: Steam engine conversion
Post by: GeorgeBest on April 29, 2008, 10:28:57 PM
This past weekend I saw something I've never seen before.
I've seen steam engines converted into internal combustion engines, but this is the first time I've seen a gas engine converted to steam.

Appears to have been a 3hp Fairbanks Morse Z converted to run on steam or compressed air.  When I took the picture it was running off an Shramm air compessor.

Be interesting to see how it's made and what's inside that slider valve box.
