'round the pot-bellied stove / Big Building Move
« on: January 14, 2011, 11:48:33 AM »
Ralph  - Enjoyed the Video !  When I was a kid I was always interested in watching House movers work. In my early twenties my Father and I moved 2 old houses to my parents place and converted them to storage barns, I wish I had taken pictures of the moves. My equipment used was a Ford 4000 tractor and a long hay trailer.

Charlie - Looks like nice weather to go with nice tractors. Tractor parades make for a fun time too.

I second the previous posts! We really enjoyed this year's Portland August Event. I purchased a few things and still returned home with some cash left in my pocket. I missed a couple of items because when I returned to buy they were gone. I also did not take pictures this year. Merton

Yes George long drive for me too and even longer for you.  I look forward to Portland every year and planning to go next year too.

I know I been missing from this forum for a time. I am going to Portland next week and wanted to know anybody else would be there? I heard Spencer Yost is planning to be there too. We usually camp in the back corner near the Stamping factory. Hope everything is good for all the senior members on this forum. I posting a picture from 2008 from outside Portland on one of our night rides to cool off. Merton

John Deere Model 50 was my first. Don't think I have a picture of it anyway on my computer. Sold it in 1996 .

Here's another Tractor I own. It's a 1976 International 140 and that's my youngest son driving it at a local show around 2004. He is joining the US Army and has to report the first of January. He will be going into the Army's High school to Helicopters program. He will come out a Warrant Officer when finished with the program. They grow up fast.:D

Here's a shot of my JD 530 winning the slow tractor race at a local show 5 or 6 years ago.

I need to find a copy of the collectors guide book that is talked about in this article. I have just scratched the surface in collecting hog oilers.
