Things are a little slow here on the forum lately. How about we take a look at a picture from the harvest of 1986 at which time my brother brought an old Massey Harris 26 out of retirement to thresh out a few bushels of oats one day. The 20 foot swath was heavy and made for slow forward motion.

Got a soft spot for old combines so I got to ask, where is the combine today and when was it last used?

Glad you like the photos as they are pretty special to me too. Both combines have sat for the past twenty years now at my brother's farm. Still all in one piece but I doubt you could just jump on and drive one away after all these years. Heres a picture of the crop being swathed before it was combined. Thats an old Versatile 103 , 20 foot cut powered by the Wisconsin V4. Versatile was a Canadian company based in Manitoba, eventually sold out and is now part of Buehler.

The only swather I have ever seen is an IH--I think it was powered by a Wisconsin, but I am not certain. It looked to have been built in the 60's or 70's. Looks like running one would be fun!
